Campus Visits

I would like to come to your campus and work with your students, both one-on-one and in master class settings, to bring out their talents and help them with areas they may find challenging. Let me see and hear their performances, listen to their ideas and share their concerns as emerging musicians in the twenty-first century. Together we will rejoice in their progress while we solve vocal and musical problems and move to the next level. As they connect with the inner meaning of their songs, they will find a new and impelling passion to perform, and I will give them a set of tools to work on each new piece in their repertoire.

While I am at your campus I can offer you a number of different recital programs of my own, tailored to fit your audience and time considerations. You may design my visit to suit your teaching schedule and we can involve your students with pre-visit assignments so we can maximize our time together.

I have had a long and fruitful association with students of vocal performance (all genres) since the beginning of my career. In the 1980’s I was Assistant Professor at Michigan State University and the University of Maryland, where I taught studio voice (classical and musical theater)along with various language diction classes. I also spent ten summers at Bay View Music Festival and Conservatory in northern Michigan, where my duties included weekly performances and teaching (private voice, language diction and performance). In 1999 I founded the Opera Workshop at MasterWorks Festival, a Christian performing arts summer academy, directed by Dr. Patrick Kavanaugh. My ongoing relationship with this festival is important to me because there I can continue to offer encouragement to young singers.

Please contact me for dates, fees and your choice of recital programs.
